Earnings Before Interest & Tax - EBIT

What does it mean?
An indicator of a company's financial performance calculated as revenue minus expenses excluding tax and interest. Also referred to as operating earnings.

In Other Words...
This is all profits, operating and non-operating, before deducting interest and income taxes.
